Success Stories

Cierra
Cierra is one of the first NextWork clients. She began participation in one of our early classes called LifeLink. She found a great job with Supported Employment at Winco, and then became a resident in our training apartments. Cierra currently works in a full-time, benefited position—something she used to believe was beyond her reach. Cierra is part of our first cohort of training apartment graduates! We’re so proud of Cierra and all of the incredible progress she has made!

Scott
Scott is also one of our first cohort of training apartment graduates. Scott is a deep thinker who has made great friends during the time in the program. A Section 8 Housing voucher has helped with housing, and he now lives in an apartment in the community. He’s been working at Boeing for 2 ½ years now and continues to participate in our classes and coaching. We love having Scott around to add a funny joke and a new way to see things! We’re so proud of the incredible strides he has made toward independence and self-awareness.

THANKS TO OUR DONORS

Donor Dollars at Work
Our clients typically don’t receive state or federal funding for supported living. In short, without our generous donors, many of our clients would fall through the cracks. These donor funds may be the difference between independent living in the community and living at home with their parents.
Sponsor a student—be a benefactor and make a measurable difference in someone’s life. You will even have opportunities to meet the student you sponsor.
